One meal at a time.
FIGHTING HUNGER ON COLLEGE CAMPUS
I found that the majority of students were not eating breakfast and some of them were struggling to make meals at home. Many were working one or two jobs in order to pay for school, and so I decided to partner with the Cal Poly food bank to create the first ever BAEC Food Pantry cabinet. The process was completely anonymous and students didn't have to sign their names, they only had to provide a tally. This allowed students to feel safe while also receiving the services they needed.

Additionally, I created a weekly program called Chat and Chew which provided bagels weekly for students to eat as breakfast or lunch.
